Our Kuba cloth is sourced directly from Kenya but originates from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This exquisite fabric is handcrafted using traditional techniques, involving embroidery and appliqué work on handwoven raffia. Available in a variety of vibrant and earthy tones and patterns, Kuba cloth is perfect for lampshades. 

TRANSLUCENCY
The fabric is semi-transparent, allowing the stunning patterns and the raffia to be visible when illuminated. Depending on the lining, typically a matte gold foil or sometimes chintz for enhanced light yield, the unique texture and beauty of Kuba cloth are beautifully showcased.
